Brenda likes to think of Marin Sunshine Realty as a "Down to Earth, Mom-n-Pop real estate firm where the clients are genuinely cared for, and ideally the Earth too." Her background consists of 40 years experience in real estate, architecture, interior design, general contracting and landscaping for dream homes in Northern California.
Her experience with other brokerages includes ReMax Accord and Century 21 Seascape Realty.
In college she studied at UCLA and earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Motion Picture Production. Her Thesis film was shot primarily at Marshall Tavern in the early 1970's.
Brenda is an avid gardener who is delighted and grateful for her home and friendships in the Seahaven community of Inverness. She is proud of the local sustainable food and green energy movements in West Marin, and strives to support community non-profit organizations and progressive political movements however possible in order to benefit us all.

Tom Reitter is the assistant, referral agent, and lead Notary Public at Marin Sunshine. He is a retired mechanical engineer with Masters degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from Cornell and UC Davis. He also is the husband of owner and broker, Brenda Balanda.
Tom has many years of experience in public service as an environmentally-conscious city councilman in the East Bay, and comprehends the larger issues we face here in West Marin as a community. He is a problem solver, and has a great sense of humor.
Tom grew to love West Marin through a 25 year history of vacationing in Bolinas, prior to his eventual return to Inverness for retirement. He's learned many local hiking trails since moving back after joining a community hiking group.
